Marketing Tips & Suggestions


Marketing your CHIP program will be one of the most important things you can do to assure success. Look through this page and decide how you want to begin your marketing campaign. Also included is a brand new PDF Tool for your Information Session.

We have prepared a number of Do-It-Yourself templates as well as Assisted Options, which will help you get started. Click on any image below to see full-size PDF versions.

The resources listed below are specially put together for the facilitator of a CHIP program as do-it-yourself projects. Decide which marketing ideas you would like to use in your CHIP program and then download the appropriate items to begin working on them. Suggestions are provided to guide you in the process. Each item provides a Do-It-Yourself option. Some items include an Assisted Option.

CHIP Information Session PDF Tool with Videos

The videos and information in this interactive PDF tool makes it easy to provide a compelling overview of CHIP and motivate attendees to register for the program at your CHIP Information Sessions. Just open the document on your computer then click on any indexed item on the right to view that component. Contains all the videos and presentation illustrations needed for your Information Session.
(NOTE: This is a very large file (269 MB) and may take awhile to download. If it doesn't seem to work, allow more time for the download to complete -- up to an hour. Make sure your Acrobat Reader is version 9 or greater and that you have all the latest updates from Adobe for Acrobat Reader. After downloading, save to your computer desktop, or other convenient location.)

Front side

Great looking, 2-sided, official CHIP business cards. Perfect for getting the word out in day-to-day contacts, brochure inserts, and mailers. Give them out to others in your team to multiply the outreach.

Click on this easy-to-use PDF form that you can fill out (four lines, frontside only). When finished click "File > Save As" and provide the saved PDF file to the business card vendor of your choice. Most office stores provide this services as well as online options.

Or, you can use the Microsoft WORD business card template (below) to print your own cards on your inkjet or color laser printer. Use Avery equivalent business card sheets #8877 or #8371 available at most office stores or online from Amazon.com.

 

CHIP Postcards

Post cards are a great way to reach out to a neighborhood, or to a whole town. Your local post office, or bulk mailing center can help you with distribution by zip code areas. This is a cost-effective way of reaching whole sections of your city.

High resolution PDFs of 5 different styles are available for download. The backside of the postcard is left blank for your information. Use heavy card stock for printing. Postal regulations require a size of no larger than 5" x 7" and no less than 3-1/2" x 5".

The CHIP brochure artwork is available in two different versions -- a 3-panel "generic" and a 4-panel "customizable" version.

Brochures are one of the best ways to market your program. Use them to advertise your upcoming Information Sessions or to tell people what CHIP is all about. Each brochure gives a good summary of the CHIP program and what it can do for you. There are several variations of the CHIP brochure:

The 3-panel Generic version is great for program promotion, business meetings, churches, health fairs, etc., wherever you want people to learn about the CHIP program. You can insert your personal CHIP business card or contact info into the brochure and you're ready to go. No imprinting required!

There are two styles of a 4-panel brochure designed for use as a program schedule as well as promotion (see at left). The two panels on the inside right side are left empty for your local info and can be used for schedule and program outline, pricing, contact information, and anything else you can think of that people might want to know about your program.

Click on this Assisted Option and you will see an online interface with our printing partner Alpha Impressions Printing (Battle Ground, WA) where you can design, see a proof, approve, and pay for your brochure. For more details or for questions, call 877-268-2085 (ask for KC).

Do-It-Yourself Options (4-panel version)
You can download a press-ready, high quality PDF to have a local printer customize your CHIP brochure (suggested for runs of 2,000 or more). Or, customize it yourself with the Microsoft WORD template provided. Look at the two Do-It-Yourself options below for the format that works best for you. CHIP Posters

You will need posters to advertise your Info Sessions. Put them up around town in supermarkets, post office, local stores, churches, community centers, etc. Six professionally designed styles to choose from. Available as Do-It-Yourself version only. PDF and Microsoft WORD templates provided. You can enter your local information, then "save as" to create a file to print on your own printer or take to the local office store for larger sizes and quantities. Posters can be printed in tabloid size (11" x 17"), page size (8.5" x 11"), or flyer size (5.5" x 8.5") -- just save file as a PDF. Click on samples below to see full size PDF samples.
           
Click on a Do-It-Yourself download link below to begin designing and printing your own CHIP posters. Each 11" x 17" poster is available in different formats:
  • WORD allows you to type in your own info into a text box area at the bottom of the poster. Then "Save As" a PDF and print, or take to an office store to print (requires Microsoft Word). 
  • PDF form allows you to fill in your info and then "Save As" a final PDF ready to print (requires Acrobat Reader X).
  • Press Quality PDF is a high quality PDF of just the poster, without imprinting (requires any Acrobat Reader program).
  • JPEG file can be used to 'import' into any design program which you can then customize.

CHIP Banners

Use banners to put up outside your venue, or as a backdrop to your program. Professionally designed artwork is provided which you can take to your local banner maker. Cost $85-$150 each. 3' x 8' size.
Five designs are available. Click this Assisted Option link if you want to have our printing partner Alpha Impressions do your banner ($75 each). Or, go to your local banner shop and have them download the Do-It-Yourself version below or download it yourself, save it to a flash drive, and take it to your local banner shop  (files are large--about 250 MB each--and may take awhile to download).
